"The Whitsundays and Fraser Island are the two main bucket list experiences for the East Coast of Australia. I’ve already talked about Fraser Island so now it’s time to talk about the Whitsundays.
You might be thinking, “Grace Ann what the heck is a Whitsunday” and to that I have no answer but I can tell you about how amazing the Whitsundays tours are.
The Whitsundays are a chain of islands off of Airlie Beach including the stunning and picturesque Whitehaven beach. It’s also the bottom of the Great Barrier Reef.
There are loads of options for Whitsunday tours but they all pretty much offer the same things. Typically, they include 2 nights of sleeping on the boat, all meals, a few snorkel experiences, a trip to Whitehaven beach, and of course, the chance to sail around Aussie.
I used the company OzSail and used their Avatar boat. There are some that are definitely catered to more of a party experience (cough cough, the Clipper) but I thought the Avatar was great for a smaller group of people and a more tame environment.
Definitely bring motion sickness pills with you although it never really got too rough. If sleeping on a boat for two nights doesn’t appeal to you, there are day tours that let you snorkel and see Whitehaven beach. Whichever way you go, you can’t go wrong. "

"Whitsundays is a paradise, and what's better than sailing around these beautiful islands by boat with other travellers.
That's what I did for 3 days, stopping in Whitehaven beach, one of the most beautiful beaches along this Coast.
I did it with Atlantic Clipper, if you want to have party every night and energised vibes, take this company, if you prefer a balance, better pick another one! "

"Off the central coast of Queensland sits 74 islands that make up the Whitsundays. Located in the heart of the Great Barrier Reef, the Whitsundays are a cluster of green islands bordered by seemingly untouched, white sand beaches and turquoise, shallow waters. "
