"This is hands down the best whiskey bar in San Diego!
Seven Grand San Diego is part of a chain, with the original located at Seven & Grand in Los Angeles. With that said, I've been to both and clearly believe this is the better one!
This place is like the bar in that old show Cheers, except with whiskey. Everyone knows your name, the staff is knowledgeable without being pretentious, and their whiskey selection is insane and won't break the bank.
The front of the bar is a cocktail and whiskey bar with pool tables, live music, and an open seating area by the front that looks out over the street for prime people-watching. The bar has a back room that's its own bar named Bar Three Piece.
This back bar only serves whiskey neat and old fashions with select cocktails on draft. They also host the infamous Seven Grand Whiskey Society which meets twice a week. This is the bar I always recommend to friends when they come into town. Don't miss out!
Locals Tip: If you're hungry at the end of the night then swing by Urbn for some amazing pizza or Lucha Libre Taco Shop for the best late-night Mexican food of your life. They're both only a couple blocks away and are affordable late-night options. "
