Glen beach cliff walk

"The Glen Beach Cliff Walk is a stunning coastal route offering incredible views of the Irish Sea and the rugged cliffs of Wicklow. Depending on the path you choose, the walk can range from 3.7 km to 5.3 km. The official 3.7 km route follows a well-marked green arrow trail and loops back along the same path, while the unofficial route ventures off to explore some lighthouses before taking you along country roads back to the car park. Along the way, you'll have the chance to spot seals and their pups, especially during the pupping season. From August to April, the beaches are off-limits due to the Wildlife Act 1976, as pups are often left on land while their mothers hunt for fish. It's important to avoid approaching or disturbing them, as this can cause the mothers to abandon their young. For this reason, dogs must be kept on a lead throughout the walk. During the pupping season, even if you can’t access the beaches, seeing the seal pups from the cliffs is a truly magical experience."
