Göreme

"It is not for nothing that several travel magazines have chosen Göreme as one of the most villages towns in the world.
The village is half-buried in a hill, its stone facades concealing a labyrinth of cavernous rooms below. Göreme is the center of Cappadocia's tourism industry, and many of these traditional houses here have been converted into luxury cave hotels.
The frescoed El Nazar (Evil Eye) Church and the Sakli (Hidden) Church can be reached off Müze Caddesi, a short walk from the center on the way to Göreme Open Air Museum.
Goreme is a prime destination for hikers, all of the major valleys that branch off from here offer a number of trails that lead past various rock formations known locally as fairy chimneys.
💡 The village of Goreme is really not very big, so it is best to reach all places on foot. Just keep in mind that there may be steep inclines or declines"

"The most popular area in the Cappadocia region. I always stay here when going to Cappadocia. It's a great springboard for the things you'll want to see, eat and do!"

"A more centric area, close to the airport & the best place to be if you’re looking to get on the hot air balloons "
