"Moke Lake is about 20 min by car from the center of Queenstown and is a very beautiful, peaceful and quiet spot. There is a 6 km loop that you can walk, taking you through grassland and right around the lake.
It's the perfect place to relax and get away from the hustle and bustle of Queenstown's center. There is also a camping and some horses and you could perfectly have a picnic there."

"A beautiful drive up a gravel road through rolling green hills leads to this lake. There is a track all around the perimeter. There is also a DOC campsite here if you' want to stay the night ($15/person/night) with flush toilets."

"Another beautiful quiet spot to visit. Walk around the lake or even camp here for the night! You can just turn up, it is a 'first come first served' basis through DOC. A nice spot for sunset too. "
