"The Robba Fountain, also known as the Fountain of the Three Carniolan Rivers (Vodnjak treh kranjskih rek), is a famous landmark gracing Mestni trg (Town Square) in Ljubljana, Slovenia. Created by the Venetian sculptor and architect Francesco Robba, the fountain took shape between 1743 and 1751. Robba was a leading figure in Ljubljana's Baroque artistic scene. The fountain's design was inspired by the famous Trevi Fountain in Rome, but on a smaller scale. The centerpiece of the fountain is a tiered basin adorned with three majestic statues sculpted from white Carrara marble. These figures represent the three main rivers of Carniola, a historical region that encompassed present-day Slovenia: Ljubljanica River, Sava River, and Krka River. The fountain's symbolism extends beyond representing the rivers. The figures also embody the power and prosperity of Ljubljana. The project was quite expensive due to the high-quality marble and Robba's meticulous craftsmanship. This nearly bankrupted the sculptor. The fountain has undergone numerous restorations throughout its history, particularly after an earthquake in 1895. In 2006, a replica replaced the original fountain in Mestni trg, which suffered from constant exposure to the elements. The original Robba Fountain now resides in the National Gallery of Slovenia, where it's carefully preserved for future generations."

"The Robba Fountain (Robbov vodnjak) stands in the center of Town Square (Mestni trg) in front of Ljubljana's Town Hall. The original marble fountain, also called the Fountain of the Three Carniolan Rivers, was made in 1751 by Italian sculptor Francesco Robba. It featured three male figures with jugs. Water pooled into a shell shape. While a 33-foot obelisk stood in the middle. In 2006, the original was moved to the National Gallery of Slovenia. What currently stands is a replica, though you wouldn't know it upon first sight."
"The Robba Fountain also known as the Fountain of the Three Carniolan Rivers is the fountain that stands in front of Ljubljana Town Hall. It is one of the city's most recognizable symbols. But the one on the square is just a replica. The original can be found in Slovenian National Gallery along with other art masterpieces."
