What people say

"Nami Island is an independent country within Korea. It is officially called The Naminara Republic. It has its own diplomatic and cultural policies and is self-governing. The citizens of the island are called the Naminarians. It even has its own national flag with a moon and compass-shaped star portraying the Oriental sentiment and environmentally-friendly image of Nami Island. Just like other countries, they also have their national anthem and passport. How cool is that? So when you visit Nami Island, you are literally in another country within a country. "Nami Island is a popular day trip spot for locals and tourists alike for its tree-lined paths and during autumn a top destination for fall foliage enthusiasts. The easiest and most popular way to reach Nami Island is by joining a day trip tour. Reaching Nami Island from Seoul isn’t the easiest day trip since there are no direct bus or train connections. If you decide to visit independently you’ll need to organise multiple modes of transit and make several transfers. If you're looking at booking at tour or transport look at the hyperlinks I've attached. These tours organise transport to Nami Island, Garden of Morning Calm and Alpaca World (or the Gangchon Rail Bike). "
"We booked a full-day tour to visit Nami Island, Garden of Morning Calm, Gapyeung-gun rail bike, and Petite France. The first tour I linked is the one we chose. This was the best tour because it was the least expensive for the most attractions. However, if you prefer a different combination of activities for the day trip, feel free to chose those instead! "
