"Family-run local establishment that has been around since forever (1908, apparently) in Kampong Glam that serves Murtabak, Briyani & other Indian dishes. Taking up 2 floors of the corner shophouse along North Bridge Road, there's an air-conditioned seating area on the 2nd floor.

Venison Murtabak — The only place I'd order Venison Murtabak in Singapore because it's exactly how I like it. It's not too oily as they use olive oil here. It has the right thickness, crispy on the outside & juicy with well-marinated deer meat on the inside. 🤌🏼
💸
Venison options are understandably pricey due to the lack of availability of the meat in Singapore. 🥲 Other dishes are reasonably priced, considering the quality & flavours of the food & generous serving sizes."

"Not to be confused with the sweet "matarbak manis" in Indonesia, Zam Zam is famous for its murtabak -
a packet of savoury fried dough stuffed with either chicken or mutton. They are a well-established Indian Muslim restaurant serving a wide variety of other dishes too like briyani or roti prata."
