Lesser Known Florence
Thank you for purchasing this guide. I hope this guide will help you to enjoy your time in Florence and love it as much as I do.
I have broken this guide up into sections: breakfast & coffee shops, lunch spots, dinner spots (including non-Italian food), date spots, live music locations, and places to get drinks.
Within each category, I have further divided the places by their neighborhoods. That way you can easily find something if you're looking to head to a particular part of town.
Transportation in Florence
Walk
Florence is not a big city. It is very easy and very possible to walk almost everywhere you want to go. Besides, you'll be walking through an open-air museum and everything you pass by is incredible. Florence is a very safe city and people tend to be out at all hours, so even walking at night feels comfortable here.
Bike
If you need to get somewhere faster than walking, then biking is the next best thing. Download the app "Ridemovi." On the app, you can rent bicycles, electric bicycles, and scooters. The electric bicycles are the best because they make it easier to peddle over all the cobblestone in Florence. They are slightly more expensive than regular bikes, but so worth it.
