Fruit Festivals Around the World
WoodStock Fruit Festival
This was my first Fruit Festival and it was an amazing experience. This Fruit Festival used to take place in the Adirondacks in New York, but has since moved venues to HOM in Miami, Florida, United States. This festival opened me up to amazing souls, who welcomed me in with open arms, and I found that no one judged you for how you lived. I met people from all different backgrounds, some were vegan, vegetarian and even carnivores. I met some amazing people that have become my friends for life, because this was the first time that I met people who lived the same lifestyle that I do and I felt more at home in my soul.
I also really love the Adirondacks, so I didn't feel so scared going to this event alone for my first time. Not only did I feel the people were the most welcoming, open, and loving, the fruit was simply amazing! I mean the fruit was part of the reason that I went! My favorite fruits that I tried were Durian and Mamey Sapote. The Durian grew on me and my favorite variety of it is the Musang King.
If you're looking for a unique experience with loving souls and people who will make you feel at home, and tasting the most amazing ripe fruit, The Woodstock Fruit Festival is one to check out! But, again a heads up, this is a week of Gourmet Raw Vegan Cuisine, but amazingly delicious Raw Vegan Cuisine and amazing fruits! I would 100% recommend anyone this Fruit Festival as your first one to experience.
I haven't been to this venue yet, but it looks amazing!
My first time with Durian.
Mamey Sapote and some dragon fruit
My amazing cabin mates.
Amazon Fruit Festival
This is a Fruit Party in the Jungle, in the Ecuadorian Amazon Jungle!! This Fruit Festival was even more magical than I could've ever imagined a place to be. It was a much smaller group of wonderful souls, who live with the values of permaculture in the Amazon jungle. This for me, was such a divine, soulful experience and it is very hard for me to put into words how much I loved this experience, the place and the people there. I stayed in a bungalow, but there is an option to camp. I opted for the bungalow, since I had never camped in the Amazon Jungle and was not completely sure of the wildlife. My friend ended up camping but she had a hammock tent, which worked extremely well for her and what I would recommend for your first time camping in the Amazon.
Here I got to try a ton of fruit that I had never tried before. Like Cherimoya, peanut butter fruit, Miracle berry, jackfruit, ice cream bean, granadilla, oritos, apple banana, amazon tree grape, aguaje and blackberry jam fruit. I really enjoyed, the classes taught by Amanda, the hikes, harvesting and learning the way that they live in the Amazon and of course the people and the fruit! They live in harmony with nature, something that I hope to bring more of into my life. I 100% recommend going on all of the waterfall hikes. The festival is amazing Raw Vegan Cuisine. I had the chance to have Chef Paola and she was phenomenal, & also an amazing soul.
The experiences you will have here will not compare to anything that you've had in your life. Here they do use composting toilets, take showers outside, and they do have some big spiders and snakes down there. But if you're willing to live in the Amazon for a week experiencing the wonders of the jungle, the delicious fruit, amazing Raw Vegan Cuisine, and the love from all of the people, it will be worth your while to check out.
Watch the video of the Amazon Fruit Festival 2023 down below to get a glimpse into what happens! Also ,feel free to check out my Instagram page creatinglifesdreams for a video of my experience of the festival. This festival usually takes place in January near Gualaquiza, Ecuador. On their website there is directions of how to get there and you can always email them for help and recommendations around Ecuador.
Meeting amazing souls and hiking to waterfalls!

Peanut butter fruit!
Raw Vegan Lasagna Night!
Other Accommodations near Terra Frutis
I also have friends who have a Airbnb up the hill from Terra Frutis and there is Fruitarian Eutopia with Nikos. But a reminder that these two places are strictly vegan. And with Nikos you have to fill out a survey to see if you would be a good fit, but his place is in an amazing spot. Nikos is also a wonderful soul to connect with.
Tanglewood Fruit Festival
This one takes place in Costa Rica and is at a Retreat Center. I have not explored this one yet but it looks amazing! & who wouldn't want to go the ocean or hike to a waterfall in Costa Rica!?
Fruitarian Adventure Retreats, Thailand
If you love Durian, this retreat might just be for you! This retreat is filled with adventure, waterfalls, one of the biggest Durian Fruit Market in the world, organic fruit orchards, time to reflect and so much more. I haven't experienced this one yet, but it seems like such an amazing experience. It is taking place between the end of April and throughout May for 2024. If you've desired to check out Thailand, eat an abundance of tropical fruits, or hike to breath-taking waterfalls, I would recommend this Retreat to get a one of a kind experience that you won't forget.
UK Fruit Festival
The UK Fruit Festival reminds me of the Woodstock fruit festival, just over in the UK! The first person I met at the Woodstock Fruit Festival was down by the lake and it was Ronnie. I loved that he had an accent and he was the first person that talked to me about the Amazon Fruit Festival. I don't know him personally, but I know he is one of the Founders of the UK Fruit Festival, and he can sing and play the guitar, and also is really nice, If you're looking for a fun experience, beautiful souls, delicious fruit and Gourmet Raw Vegan Cuisine, I would highly recommend checking out the UK Fruit Festival, especially if it is your first one!
Also Fruity Fridays are a fun Zoom Call to learn more about the people in the Raw Vegan Community.
Dutch Fruit Festival
I have not attended this one yet, but it seems like the UK and Woodstock Fruit Festivals! Check it out if you're in the Netherlands and would like some amazing fresh fruit with wonderful souls!
Austrian Fruit Festival
Again another Festival I have yet to check out, but it seems just as amazing as all of the other ones! If you're in Austria around the time the festival happens, I would highly recommend checking it out!
Serbian Fruit Festival
I have not attended this one either but it does look amazing and worth it to check out for the experience.
One fruit I would not recommend to try, unless you like blue cheese, is Noni. The only way that it tastes "okay" is with some avocado. It is known as the Vomit Fruit and this is the only fruit I have tried so far that I didn't like. I mean you also have to try things to see if you like them, just like going to one of these fruit festivals!
These are the festivals and retreats that I have compiled so far, I know there are a lot more gatherings around the world, and I'll put them in here when I come across them! This guide will be an ever changing guide of Fruit Festivals. I will keep updating it the more I come into new information of Fruit Festivals Around the World. I hope you enjoy, and check one of them out for yourself! & maybe you'll try some fruit that you've never heard of before. Go out and experience the world like you've never experienced it before!
Much Love,CLD
