Dallas- The DFW Rundown

Dallas- The DFW Rundown

Mai Soua Chang
If you haven't heard, the Dallas- Fort Worth metroplex (DFW) is huge! It isn't the most "touristy" compared to Austin or Houston, but that doesn't mean there isn't a ton to do. I lived in Dallas for 5 years and constantly saw visitors missing out on some of its greatest gems. There are new things opening every year with more and more places to explore. Here is the rundown of the top 10 areas to explore in DFW.

Bishop Arts District

A very charming area to start your day in with brunch, live music, afternoon cocktails, and a bit of shopping. The food scene is amazing here with lots of little gems & Instagrammable places. Parking can be a little crazy, but it's doable. There is street parking throughout neighborhood and a parking lot at near Casablanca (on W 9th & N Bishop Ave).

Fort Worth Stockyards

Located in Fort Worth, this is a must-see if it is your first time in North Texas. The Stockyards showcases the city's deep-rooted connection to its cattle industry and the legendary Chisholm Trail. Once a bustling center for livestock trading, it still retains its rustic charm and timeless ambiance. Walking through the streets, visitors can immerse themselves in the sights and sounds of the Old West, with the scent of leather, the clatter of hooves, and the echo of cowboy boots. Here you can see cowboys also long horns twice a day, at 11AM and 4PM, through the streets for a full immersive experience.
