Road Trip: Romantic Road in Bavaria, Germany

This guide will cover a 5 night itinerary for driving the "Romantic Road" in Germany. Although the itinerary covers 5 nights you will visit 8 locations. There is no more than 2 hours driving per day. You can also stretch this into a longer itinerary by staying in more locations or staying multiple nights in one location. You can also travel this route in reverse by simply following this itinerary backwards. You could also easily start and return to Munich or Frankfurt depending on your travel plans. Driving the Romantic Road

Driving in Germany is very easy and straightforward. You're on highways most of the time so the actual driving route isn't as "romantic" as it may be made out to be. But the towns are incredible and so charming and each have their own special features that make them so great to see.

Day 1: Arrive in Munich & Drive to Fussen

Travel Time: 1 hour 40 minutes

The start of your day one may look different from ours depending on where you are coming from. I am happy to help you with logistics if you need.

The drive from Munich to Fussen takes about 1 hour and 40 minutes. However, we broke it up with a stop. This stop was one of my favorites of the whole trip.

My full time job is as a School Leader of Social and Emotional Learning in Philadelphia. All my travel is done on school breaks and in the summer.
