❗️Everything You Need to Know Before You Go❗️

Caminito del Rey had been on my bucket list for way too long, and let me tell you – it was 100% worth it! 🀩 But before you embark on this thrilling adventure, there are a few things you absolutely need to know to make the most of your trip.

How to Get There πŸš†πŸš—

Caminito del Rey is accessible by public transport, but be prepared for a long day. You'll need to take a train to El Chorro and then hop on a bus to the starting point. If you want more flexibility, I highly recommend going by car or joining a tour.

Tickets 🎟️ – BUY IN ADVANCE!

And I mean months in advance! 😳 We visited in mid-February and booked tickets in December. By then, only guided tours were available – no individual entrance tickets left!

πŸ’° Price: €39 for 2 people on a guided tour – and honestly, worth every cent! Our guide was amazing, full of cool stories and history.

Getting to the Entrance 🏞️

Once you've parked, you need to walk through a tunnel before reaching the actual entrance. Then, it's another 2 km walk (about 30 min), so arrive at least an hour before your time slot! If you're late, you won’t be allowed in because of strict visitor limits.

Safety & What to Expect πŸ—οΈ

πŸ‘‰ Whether you're on a guided tour or solo, you'll receive a helmet and safety instructions before starting.

πŸ‘‰ You’ll be walking along narrow bridges and boardwalks suspended on a cliff – this is not for those afraid of heights! 😬

πŸ‘‰ The actual Caminito del Rey path is around 3 km long, with breathtaking views at every turn.

Here is the trail from the entrance to the bus:

Keep in mind – this is a one-way hike! Once you reach the end, you'll need to walk another 3 km to the bus station.

🚻 β˜• πŸ›οΈ What’s at the exit?

πŸ‘‰ After about 1 km of walking, you’ll find a rest area with souvenirs, bathrooms, coffee, and snacks – a perfect spot to recharge.
