Farm Tomita displays a cascade of rainbow crops and flowers such as tulips, as well as their stunning 5-hectare lavender field. The optimal time to visit is from mid-late July ๐ธย
You can also eat lavender flavoured ice-cream here, which is a life-saver during the summer heat. ย
Getting There
From Sapporo station via Lilac line to Asahikawa (1hr 25min) = ยฅ1,830
Transfer at Asahikawa via JR Murano Line to Nakafurano (1hr) = ยฅ4,070
Then take a short taxi ride from Nakafurano to Farm Tomita (4min) = ยฅ800
Or you can walk from Nakafurano station to Farm Tomita (23min) = FREE
Total cost : ยฅ6700
2. Hill of the Buddha (้ ญๅคงไปๆฎฟ)
Entry: FREE
If you're into architecture then this is a must-visit spot. This is a cemetery, where there is a lavender-ringed mound that encases a 13.5m-tall statue of a sitting Buddha.
The area is also surrounded by Moai statues. A very impressive and spiritual place (even if you're not religious or a buddhist) ๐ฟย
Getting There
From Sapporo station via Namboku Line to Makomanai station (18min)ย
Transfer at Makomanai station via Bus 106 Takino Sen (for Ashiribetsu) and get off at Takino Pass (ๆป้ๅณ ) (21min)

3. Shiroi Koibito (็ฝใๆไบบใใผใฏ)
Entry : ยฅ800 (can be booked in advance online or buy on the day).ย
Similar to Willy Wonkaโs Chocolate factory minus the Oompa Loompas ๐ซย
This is a chocolate entertainment park operated by a Japanese confectionery manufacturerย which produces Shiroi Koibito, one of the famous sweets in Japan.
The park is a beautiful world where British and Hokkaido cultures merge, featuring a Tudor house exterior and a red London Bus ๐ฌ๐งย
Inside, you get to experience the process of how chocolate is made at a cacao tasting workshop. It also shows us how Shiroi Koibito is made and packaged in the factory. The park also features a ton of interactive displays and exhibitions about the company's history. Tasty restaurants and cafes are also conveniently located around the park.
You can also reserve and enjoy cookie-making courses and a short chocolate-making course ๐ชย
Be sure to try the Shiroi Koibito soft-serve ice-cream, made with Hokkaido's famous milk.ย
Remember to also make a reservation at Chocolate Lounge OXFORD and order their signature ISHIYA strawberry pancake (IG worthy) ๐ฅย

3. Sapporo TV Tower ใใฃใฝใใใฌใๅกย ๐ผ
Entry : ยฅ1000
Catch the views of Sapporo city and Odori Park by going up the 147.2 metre high TV tower with an observation deck at a height of 90.38 metres ๐ผ
Getting There
1. From Sapporo station via Namboku Line to Odori station (2min)
= ยฅ210ย
2. Walk via Nishi 2 Chome Dori (่ฅฟ2ไธ็ฎ้ใ) (14min)
Tips
Purchase the 4-day Sapporo - Furano area pass at Chitose Airport or at any JR station to save money on travelling around Sapporo and the Furano area ย (only available for non-Japanese passport visitors under the entry status of "Temporary Visitor") ๐ย
