Terceira is one of the nine islands that make up the Azores archipelago, located in the North Atlantic Ocean.
The UK and the US constructed an air base on the island that is still used today.Ā
I love Terceira for it's stunning landscapes, natural pools and blend of Spanish and Portuguese culture (bull runs and and queijadas).Ā
May to September are generally the best times to visit but plan in advance as the island has limited amount of hotel rooms, rental cars and guides.Ā
