Inspired by Italy: Via Appia Tagaytay

I found this hidden gem just less than 2 hours from Metro Manila! Tagaytay has lots of notable hotels and resorts. But I think this one hasn’t gotten the attention it deserves — at least not yet. It is conveniently located near the Tagaytay-Nasugbu highway. So you know what that means: transportation, food, and other necessities are not gonna be a problem, although food won’t be much of a problem either since the hotel’s in-house restaurant is amazing!

Before I get into it, we all know how much we love Tagaytay's climate. It's definitely a lovely escape from the city's overwhelming heat!

And being from Baguio, which is a 5-hour drive from Alabang, I have learned to love Tagaytay's calmness — close enough, right? IYKYK

How to Get There

Like any other place in the country, you can get to Via Appia in different ways:

By Car or Motorcycle

Via Appia Tagaytay is easily accessible by car. From Metro Manila, you can take the South Luzon Expressway (SLEX) and then Sta. Rosa-Tagaytay Road. Continue straight until you reach Tagaytay-Calamba Road and then turn left onto Tagaytay-Nasugbu Highway. The property is located along Sta. Rita Road.

If you use Google Maps or Waze, the pin is pretty accurate, so you don't have to memorize all these.

By Bus or Van

You can also easily take a bus from Metro Manila to Tagaytay. Several bus companies have regular daily trips to Tagaytay, and you can catch one from terminals in Pasay, Cubao, or PITX.

If you're coming from Alabang, you can take a van from Festival Mall or Alabang Town Center.

Once you reach Tagaytay, you can hire a tricycle or take a jeepney to take you to Via Appia.

Via Ride-Hailing Services

Ride-hailing services such as Grab and other local providers are available in Tagaytay. You can book a ride from Metro Manila, Laguna, or some other nearby locations straight to the property.

Cycling or Walking

If you're already in Tagaytay, you can take a bike or walk to Via Appia Tagaytay. The Tagaytay-Nasugbu Highway has a sidewalk where pedestrians and cyclists can safely travel.

Unfortunately, my 3-day stay there included a business meeting so I was not able to take as many pictures and videos as I wanted.

But I was honestly so surprised that the place looked exactly as it was advertised. Props to Via Appia for that!
