Baht buses, also known as songthaews, are the most popular and convenient way to travel around Pattaya. These are pickup trucks modified to carry passengers, featuring two benches in the back. They operate on fixed routes, primarily along Beach Road, Jomtiem, and Naklua. The fares typically range from THB 10 to 50, depending on distance. You can pay the driver once you reach your destination. Taxis are another comfortable option, especially for groups or longer distances. While they are more expensive than tuk-tuks or buses, they offer a direct and private mode of transportation. Make sure to agree on a fare before starting your journey, as many taxis in Phuket do not use meters.
