We travelled to Amritsar from Delhi.  The agenda at hand - to maximize the time and the things we do.

Day 1

We landed in Amritsar by 10 AM. We only carried small backpacks to ensure our mobility and travel light.

Headed to have lunch at Pehalwan Kulcha to start our food coma journey. Then, we visited Jallianwala Bagh and its Museum.

We were back in the city by dinner time and chose to eat at Haveli in Ranjit Avenue. Our next stop was Gobind Garh fort for their light and sound show. They conduct this show in Punjabi and English. The English show is held at 8:15 PM and tickets are worth Rs 300/pp.

With a full stomach, we head to the Partition Museum. Note that it opens at 10 AM. If there is time, feel free to have a look around the center, observing the different statues and the different shops selling a variety of items.

It is now time for lunch! You can head to the nearby Bharawan Da Dhaba for lunch. Or else, find additional recommendations to try.

After lunch, relax, roam around and head to the station for the 4:50 Shatabdi back to Delhi.

With that, two perfect days of food, religion and history come to an end.

Note:

1. If you travel to and fro Amritsar via the Shatabdi from Delhi - You can arrive in the city, do lunch and head straight to Wagah Border. Then, the next day can consist of Golden Temple, Jallianwala Bagh and the Partition Museum, all of which are walking distance to each other. Since the train on second day is at 4:50 PM, there is ample time to do all the things.

2. E-rickshaws charge quite a bit to tourists, plus the city center is chaotic and crowded. Sometimes, it would be more wise to take a taxi. Uber works fairly well in the city.
