4 Day Iceland Itinerary 

2:30 pm: Skorradalshreppur: This is a region with a beautiful lake. Consider a short hike or just enjoy the serene surroundings.

4:00 pm: Hvalfjördur: Visit the Hvalfjarðarvegur tunnel for a scenic drive.

6:00 pm: Reykjavík: Explore the city in the evening, visit local restaurants, and perhaps take a stroll around the Harpa Concert Hall, Hallgrímskirkja, Perlan, Laugavegur Street and the Old Harbour

10:00 am: Kerid Crater: Walk around the rim of this volcanic crater.

11:00 am: Geysir Geothermal Area: Witness the geysers, especially the famous Strokkur.

2:00 pm: Gullfoss Waterfall: Take in the impressive two-tiered waterfall.

4:00 pm: Thingvellir National Park: Explore the unique geological and historical features, including the Silfra Fissure.

10:00 am: Seljalandsfoss: Walk behind the waterfall for a unique perspective.

11:30 am: Skogafoss: Hike to the top for a panoramic view.

1:00pm: Reynisfjara: Enjoy the black sand beach and basalt columns. See Dyrholaey from this stunning beach too.

1:00pm: Reynisdrangar: Observe the iconic sea stacks.

If you are visiting during the summer, then after lunch head to: Jokulsarlon Glacier Lagoon to see the floating icebergs. Additionally see the Diamond Beach and witness icebergs on the black sand beach. Return back late evening and witness extended daylight hours with the Midnight Sun.

10:00 am: Blue Lagoon: Relax in the geothermal waters. Consider booking a reservation in advance, as it's a popular attraction.

11:00 am: Arrive late morning and check into your hotel.

🚶‍♀️Active - Exploring popular tourist destinations like the Golden Circle, which includes attractions like Geysir, Gullfoss waterfall, and Thingvellir National Park, generally involves easy walks and short hikes. However, hiking to some waterfalls, such as Glymur or Svartifoss, may involve moderately challenging trails with uneven terrain.

☀️ The best time to visit Iceland varies based on personal preferences and desired experiences and activities. Summer (June to August) offers extended daylight hours with the Midnight Sun, warmer temperatures, and optimal conditions for exploration.

💰Visiting Iceland can be relatively expensive due to high costs associated with accommodation, dining, and activities. Day 4: Blue Lagoon Relaxation (Summer Season)

2:00 pm: Return back to Reykjavík late morning, before heading to Blue Lagoon to relax in the afternoon! Consider booking a reservation in advance, as it's a popular attraction.

🍁 Autumn (September to October) provides a chance to witness the Northern Lights with fewer tourists. 

❄️ Winter (November to March) is ideal for Northern Lights viewing, winter sports, and snowy landscapes.

8:00 am: Leave your hotel and start heading to Seljalandsfoss.

If you want to visit Jokulsarlon Glacier Lagoon, but it is the autumn / winter season, I highly suggest staying a night locally, before heading to see the glacier early morning. 

Day 4: Glaciers & Blue Lagoon Relaxation (Winter Season)

8:00 am: Head to see the glacier early morning. 

8:00 pm: Return back home late in the evening!
