The BEST Coffee Shops in Barcelona ☕️

Where to drink the best coffee, enjoy the best vibes, and get your money's worth

Another coffee shop list, this time for Barcelona.

I've been to Barcelona a total of four times (which is less impressive when you live in Madrid lol), and the last two times specifically I was floored at how much good coffee I had. I think I drank more coffee than I maybe ever have in those few days because of it.

I just had to share!!

Also, if you read my coffee shop guide to Paris, you'll know that I went on a bit of a rant on how the city lacks good specialty cafes to actually sit in. Barcelona tends to have a lot of the same thing- mostly hole-in-the-wall shops for the specialty stuff, while terrace cafes and places to sit and enjoy your coffee are limited to mostly basic, non-specialty caffeine options. I think it's reflective of the prices of the city itself, and the cost of keeping these establishments running. But for some reason I cared a lot less here. Anyways, expect to walk with most of these offerings. That's it!

Nomad Coffee - Lab & Shop
@sarahpollock
Nomad is famous for its beans. They distribute to tons of coffee shops all over Spain (I have my favorites that use their coffee in Madrid too). It's also a relatively well-known coffee shop, period. The quality speaks for itself.

A very delicious hole-in-the-wall spot in El Born. The last time I was in Barcelona I went here every single day.

News & Coffee
@sarahpollock
My go-to spot in Gracia. It's a kiosk in the middle of the beautiful Plaça de Gracia which also happens to be one of my favorite places in the whole city to chills and people-watch. As a take on a classic news stand, the kiosk itself also sells specialty publications and lets you peruse them for free! Great coffee-drinking activity. Specialty coffee aside, News and Coffee also happen to make one of the best chai lattes Iv'e had in Spain. I always order a dirty chai with oat milk. It's phenomenal.

Great spot facing the park on the edge of El Born, towards Barcelonetta. Love this place a lot.

Right Side Coffee Bar
@sarahpollock
A very high-quality caffeine stop in the middle of a very touristy area. It gets a lot of credit for that alone!

Dalston Coffee Barcelona
@sarahpollock
If you find yourself in this busier part of town... specifically between the Contemporary Art Museum and La Rambla/Placa de Catalunya/Passage de Gracia... this is where you want to stop for coffee.
