WHERE IS THE ATHENS RIVIERA?

The main areas of the Athens Riviera are Marina Flisvos, Alimos, Glyfada, Voula, Vouliagmeni, Lagonisi, Varkiza, Anavyssos, and Sounio.

Located in the area of Paleo Faliro, Marina of Flisvos is not only the most modern yacht station in the region but also one of the most popular seafront promenades to go for an evening walk and catch the sunset. Strolling along the coastline, you will find many cafes, bars, shops, and restaurants that attract numerous visitors, especially on the weekends. Keep in mind that although Marina of Flisvos is a seafront place, it continues to attract many people during the winter, especially around Christmas time, when a variety of special events take place in the area. Alimos, also known as "Kalamaki", is a modern suburb, a seaside town with the biggest asset of Marina Alimos Bay, one of the largest in Greece. At the famous beach section of Alimos, Akti tou Iliou, some very impressive beach bars turn into clubs when it gets late. The best and most famous DJs in the world have played there. Right after Glyfada, Voula is the next area you’ll find in the Athenian Riviera. Although it is mainly a residential area, it is one of the high-profile areas to live in, featuring large houses usually taking advantage of the coastal space layout. Here you will find organized places with access to the beach, by paying a small entrance fee you can experience the Greek summer in Athens to the fullest! The places to go out in Voula are mostly family-owned, quaint, tavernas with delicious dishes made with love and tradition. Vouliagmeni is probably the most luxurious of all the Athenian Riviera locations. It is named after the natural lake that formed ages ago due to a landslide. The lake is now used as a natural swimming pool and people who use it regularly can witness its soothing effects. Vouliagmeni is home to some of the most luxurious hotel establishments such as the Four Seasons. The pride of Vouliagmeni is its yachting club.
