Kuala Lumpur Complete Travel Guide
I was thrilled to reach the bustling city of Kuala Lumpur. Big cities always feel like anything can happen! I arrived at KL Central Station and hopped on the monorail. After changing lanes at the next station, I found myself in front of my hostel. I stayed at Sunshine Beds, located right on the biggest crossroads of the city. The location was impeccable, and the staff, including the owner Patrick, Jasmine, and the volunteers, created a great vibe. The hostel even had a rooftop where you could relax and enjoy the view. Plus, breakfast was included every day with options like toast, chocolate spread, and peanut butter. What more could you want?
I believe the best area to stay in Kuala Lumpur is Bukit Bintang. It's the most modern part of the city with numerous restaurants, stores, and plenty to see and do. It also serves as a great base for exploring other areas. Bukit Bintang is bustling day and night, with an array of shops that will make any shopper's heart skip a beat. While I didn't find a sugar daddy to fund my shopping spree, I did come across an amazing Japanese store called Don Don Donki. They served mouthwatering Wagyu beef and offered a wide range of ready-to-eat sushi, sashimi, deep-fried and warm food options, and noodles in various flavors. As a snack lover, I was overwhelmed by the selection of snacks available.
You can take a Grab ride to this famous sight just outside of the city. I believe everyone has seen a picture of these rainbowsteps at least once in their life. Since there are Hindu temples in and around the Batu caves, you can find lots of Indian snacks here. Although, I would recommend buying something áfter your visit, as the site is full of naughty monkeys.
It was a Sunday and we accidentally crashed an Indian wedding! It’s always been a dream of mine to attend an Indian wedding! There seemed to be entire tents set up for people to have an absolute feast here. I love witnessing local traditions and although it was busier on a Sunday, I loved being able to see all of this.
