Yamanaka Cafe
@kansai
This is located in the middle of Higashiyama, a great rest stop for those passing along between the northern & southern corridor. The exterior and interior of the cafe are very interesting and rather picturesque if you ask me.

Cat Cafe Utanekodo
@kansai
Love cats? You can get cat-shaped parfaits and floats here. Come early though. There's bound to be a queue as patrons often stay at the cafe for awhile, and some items on the menu are limited in quantity.

Loved the atmosphere and decor, even though the place was a bit busy when I was there. Dessert was pretty good.

Trendy little cafe/bar type hideout. Usually quite busy during the day, but the food is decent and it's right in the middle of the shopping area. Great place to take a break if you're in the area.
