Zanzibar
This archipelago is known for its crystal-clear waters, white sand beaches and vibrant coral reefs, making it an ideal spot for snorkeling and diving enthusiasts.
But, in addition to being the perfect beach destination (especially after going on a safari), Zanzibar is also full of fascinating history and rich culture. In this guide, you'll learn everything you need to plan your trip. Let's go!
Get to know the island
Although when you hear Zanzibar, you often think of one island, it is actually an archipelago consisting of 54 islands! But the main two are sister islands: Unguja Island (known as Zanzibar) & Pemba.
In this guide, I will only be talking about Unguja Island (aka Zanzibar) but I do encourage you to consider visiting the other islands if you have the time!
