Paris is divided into 20 arrondissements and each one has distinct characteristics. I recommend splitting your stay between different arrondissements to experience a different side to Paris.
I personally stayed in the 2nd arr which is close to the Louvre and other attractions and then also spent time in the 15th arr. which let me experience a much more local vibe.
