Alaska

A 12 day trip to Alaska including a cruise, glass dome train ride and a stay at an igloo under the Aurora Borealis. Go during early/ mid September for your best chance to see the Aurora Borealis. The lights start to come out around mid September. This trip is estimated to cost about $4900 per person. But can be done for cheaper by choosing an interior room or ocean view room on your cruise. Day 1

Fly into Vancouver the day before your cruise, if you fly in the same day you risk missing your cruise and that will put a real damper on your trip. Check into your hotel and explore the city. Keep in mind that there will be a lot of people in town as there are thousands of people getting on and off of cruise ships on the same day.

Nothing fancy, but is newly renovated, has free breakfast, and is a 30 minute car ride to the cruise port. The closer you stay to the port the more expensive the hotels will get, and they are proud of those hotels. I would stay here and catch a Uber/Taxi closer to Cruise embarkation. If you are travelling with a big group 6+ people then it may be worth it to stay in a hotel closer to the port.

Day 9

Disembark from the cruise and take a transfer from Whittier to Anchorage. Check in at a hotel in Anchorage and take a tour of the city if you wish.
