Ultimate Guide to: Mostar, Bosnia & Herzegovina
Things to note about Bosnia & Herzegovina:
It truly is a magical fairytale walking through the streets of Mostar. The vibrancy of the city, smiling faces of the locals selling handmade goods. However, if you are visiting in the summer months (May-September) I will inform you that temperatures can rise up to 42 degrees celsius. It gets extremely hot in the summers, so I really recommend visiting in the shoulder season if possible. I was there in mid May, and found the weather to be perfect.
Another thing to add is that the currency here is called Marks, (BAM)
Some places will accept Euros, but it's not guaranteed. I would recommend taking out the local currency upon arrival.
What to do in Mostar:
Mostar is a town with truly so much beauty and history. I highly suggest starting your trip to Mostar with a guided tour to learn more about Bosnia & Herzegovina. I did this tour and I highly recommend it. It is a free walking tour, which are usually tip-based. At the end of the tour, you tip based on how much you enjoyed the experience and how much you ultimately want to pay.
