Journey Through Portugal: Porto to Madeira to Lisbon
Day 1 – Flight to Porto & Wine Barrel Stay
Our adventure begins with an early morning flight, landing in the beautiful city of Porto in the early afternoon. Our flight landed at 12:10pm, but we understand your flight time will likely be different, so we'll omit exact timing for Day 1.
Once we're deplaned, we set off on a scenic Uber to the uniquely charming Quinta Da Pacheca in the heart of the Douro Valley. This will cost around 100 Euro each way; you can also rent a car, if preferable, but this will add logistics to Day 2.

Upon check-in, we unwind in our wine barrel room, a delightful and unconventional accommodation that perfectly captures the essence of Portugal's wine region. Enjoy a wine tasting, a tour through the cellars, a picnic, the pool, and room service delivered right to your barrel.
Day 2 – Porto Highlights
Spending a slow morning at Quinta Da Pacheca is a magical experience. We enjoy breakfast out on our porch with a breathtaking view of the lush vineyards that surround us. After indulging in the morning’s tranquility at the pool and checking out by 11am, we enjoy a picnic in the vineyard and toured the grounds to see the massive grape mashing pits (we think that's what they're called?) and enormous barrels. We literally slept inside one of them, but it's amazing to see them lined up in the cellar and learn about how they were built and treated.
As the clock strikes 12pm, it's time embark on our drive back to Porto. If you Ubered here, you won't be able to find one back since we're in the old country, but the front desk can arrange a taxi for you; arrange this ahead of time and make sure you have enough cash to pay for it.
