Things To Do
Florence Walking Tour
One of my rules for travel is to always do a walking tour on your first day. This helps you get the lay of the land and you’ll probably even get some great recommendations by a local!
Hot Air Balloon Ride
This is the #1 thing I recommend doing while staying in Florence! Below is the link for the specific ride we did. After the beautiful ride through the sky we had a picnic with champagne to finish off the morning!
Chianti Wine Tour
There are plenty of Wine Tours available, so you have plenty of choices to pick for whatever works the best for you. The most common are large group tours, but if you want to spend a little extra money you could find smaller group tours. No matter which you choose, you will have beautiful views of the Tuscany hills and vineyards throughout the day and I’ve never met a winery I didn’t like. I found my bookings for the wine tour through Viator and GetYourGuide.
Piazzale Michelangelo
The best view in Florence is a just a short walk from the city center, but be prepared to be working off your gelato. In my opinion, best way to get to the Piazzale Michelangelo is to take a taxi or utilize the buses. This way you can enjoy the view without the uphill climb. Once you reach Piazzale Michelangelo you will find vendors and a panoramic view of the city.
