Christchurch City Hotel

Hotel was clean and the amenities were good. They had a suite that was comfortable for 4 people and they provide baby cots! (Do note that they charge $15 for the rental of the baby cot.) I went with this hotel because it is right at the city centre which is close to many cafes and tourist attractions like the Transitional Cathedral.

No frills Japanese restaurant that serves a good bowl of ramen. This is a perfect spot to go, especially during the winter as it will definitely warm you up! :D

Pak N Save is the most economical out of all the supermarkets in New Zealand. If you are driving, good news! They provide free parking and you can stock up on your snacks, fruits and drinks for the long road trip along the South Island. Pssst: They have a good extensive section on baby food/pouches and snacks so good to stock up so that your little one is well-fed along the way. Note: At the smaller towns in the south island, there will supermarkets like Countdown but the prices will be a little bit higher. If you are budget conscious, this is the place to go!
