Visiting Paris with Kids: A Family Travel Guide
Getting to Paris
- prep for the flight with snacks, games they haven't played before, and comforts from home. This can be a long flight for little ones so make sure to come with reinforcements. I even pack a few special treats just in case of an emergency or to divert a melt down.
- Most flights from the USA are going to be red-eye flights so its going to be important to get your kids as much sleep as possible. I like to bring a little sound machine, blanket and pillow (sometimes you can get these on your flight) and some melatonin to help them doze off.
- Another hack to fight the jet lag for your littles (and you) is to acclimate to your new time zone as soon as you get to the airport. Try your hardest to sleep and eat according to your new time zone. It's proven to cut down on the jet lag the most.
