How to get there?
By Car:ย
ย - Distance: 120 miles from Seattleย
ย - Driving time: Approx. 2-3 hours depending on the road conditions
ย - Route: Take Interstate 90 East towards Spokane. Exit at Cle Elum and follow Highway 97 North to Leavenworth
By Train:
ย -ย Amtrak Cascades: This scenic train route offers stunning views of the Cascade Mountains. Check Amtrak's website for schedules and bookings.ย

If you don't mind a quick drive from a nearby town to save money on the lodging, you can stay in Wenatchee (which is what I did). Though, you then have to drive in the snow possibly and pay to park each time:
Things to Do in Leavenworth:
1. Explore the village:ย
Wander through the charming streets of Leavenworth, admiring the Bavarian-style architecture, unique shops, and cozy cafes. There are a ton!
2. Visit a Winery or Brewery:ย
3. Book a fun activity:
Book your reservation far in advance since they do book up pretty quickly!
If it isn't too snowy you can walk the walking trails and see the beautiful terrain. If you feel up for it when it is snowing you can go to nearby stores and rent snowshoes!
There is a small admission fee to enter but if you are interested this is a good way to spend a couple hours.
