As our beloved Mariana is leaving the next day, let’s discover Oda, the best Albanian traditional food restaurant in Tirana. Hopefully it will be sunny to enjoy the amazing « oborr » (terrace) they have!

Oda - Traditional Albanian Restaurant
@deasinani
You cannot be more traditional than this! Have a taste of our most precious meals that we as Albanians know by heart. It replicates exactly the way our grandmas and moms love to cook for family dinners (men usually sit in the sofa and drink raki smh 🤦🏻‍♀️). Centuries of local recipes combined in a single place with our best Albanian songs and a unique setup ✨

Key information to know

Tricount

Let’s put all our shared spendings here 😊

Side note: Albania practically only uses cash money. You could use your credit card in some restaurants and shops but you never know in advance.

Roaming (4G)

You need a SIM card for the stay if you want to use your 4G. Otherwise, the bill will be extremely high because Albania is not in the European zone so be super careful.

Greetings

• Mirëdita: Hello

• Mirëmbrëma: Good evening

• Faleminderit: Thank you

• Ta qifsha: Fuck you 😂 Don’t say that to the cocky men though…

The land of cheap stuff

• The pack of cigarettes costs 3,50 €

• Taxi from airport to Tirana: 25 €

• An average short taxi ride is 5-15 € (they overcharge for tourists though). Uber and other apps do not work here.

• Shots of alcohol for 2 € ??? Damn 😎

Don’t forget

• An umbrella or raincoat (🥲)

Let’s goooowr 💃🏻
