Join me on an exhilarating journey across Europe as we uncover the top 5 destinations to defy winter and bask in the warmth of culture, history, and a whole lot of good vibes. Living in the charming streets of Lisbon myself that's the topic I've been mainly hearing from the guests during my tours. They typed in Google: warmer cities to visit, Lisbon popped out as one of them, so, let's dive on a European escapade and ideas on what to do in these incredible cities. Winter, be warned – we're coming for a sunshine-filled rendezvous!

1. Barcelona, Spain

Picture this – golden beaches, lively streets, and architectural marvels by the ingenious Gaudi. Barcelona beckons, offering an ideal winter retreat.👌Best: Sun-kissed beaches, streets pulsating with life, and the spellbinding architecture of Gaudi.❓Why: Barcelona seamlessly blends culture, breathtaking landscapes, and a mild winter climate.

✌️Must-Do: Get lost in the Gothic Quarter, try out typical tapas, La Sagrada Familia, La Rambla, and La Boqueria (food market). Insider tip: there are MANY markets like La Boqueria, closed and with locals selling local products, if you want to avoid the busy one, just walk around you should easily find it!

💃Cultural Insight: Immerse yourself in the vibrant Flamenco scene at authentic venues like Tablao Cordobés.

2. Lisbon, Portugal 

Charming neighborhoods, Lisbon lures you in with historic treasures and the tantalizing aroma of Pastel de Nata. Besides the natural hilly gym, with all the ups and downs you'll end up very fit by the end of your trip! 😆

👌Best: Visit neighborhoods like Alfama, Chiado, Santos, Belém,Principe Real. If you want here's a full guide on what to do in Lisbon. 

❓Why: Lisbon exudes a laid-back vibe, boasts friendly locals, is very historical (the second oldest European city, yup!), and has cool nightlife.

✌️Must-Do: Stroll through the ancient Alfama, Listen to Fado music, and hop on a tram to Belém. Don't forget the tasty Pastel de Nata (and Pastel de Belém), and try out some contemporary and modern Lisbon by visiting Art galleries and environments like Chiado neighborhood, LX factory.

💃Cultural Insight: Immerse yourself in soul-stirring Fado performances at the esteemed Clube de Fado, or local restaurants that have it!

3. Rome, Italy

Rome, the eternal city, unfolds before you with ancient ruins, artistic treasures, and the aroma of authentic Italian delights.

 👌Best: Ancient wonders, art that'll blow your mind, and gelato that's pure heaven.

❓Why: A journey through history with iconic landmarks stealing the show

✌️Must-Do: Colosseum vibes, coin-tossing at Trevi Fountain, and gelato by the Spanish Steps. Try the aperitivos at 'Campo di fiori' and watch the sunset from Terrazza del Pincio.
