Around 1:30 in the afternoon, start heading to the blue lagoon. You can reserve your spot ahead of time and make reservations, which I would definitely recommend doing. The hot springs are amazing. I recommend purchasing the package that includes the three face masks and the drinks. It was totally worth it. Their resteraunt is super yummy and it’s nice to go to after spending time in ther hot springs.

Start your hike around the active volcano around 10:30 in the morning. You should alot around 2.5 hours to walk around and view the lava fields. The hike is not strenuous and you can go however far you would like to go. The view doesn’t drastically change the farther you go. If you want to see the lava inside the volcano I would recommend taking a helicopter tour. 

The cozy camper van was an amazing and comfortable way to go and explore Iceland. The roof is a large sunroof so it’s fun to watch the northern lights through at night! It was the perfect and fun way to travel around. It was definitely the best van rental we saw the whole time we were there!

Make your tour to start at 1:15! You will have plenty of time to get there. This was such a fun tour. They give you dry suits so you aren’t completely freezing. The water is so clean and is filtered from the lava rock you can drink it straight from the fissure. This tour will take around 3 hours.

Start the hike around 9 am. It will take ou around 2.5 hours to complete. This was the most beautiful and coolest hike I have ever done! It is not for the faint of heart though. It’s a slightly steep hike with safety chains all the way through the steep parts of the hike. You do have to cross the river so I do recommend wearing water shoes. You hold onto a rope and cross on a tree log. But it’s so fun, interactive, and beautiful. I totally recommend as long as you don’t have any health stipulations that would make it unsafe. 

I got these hiking shoes and they were the best purchase I could’ve made. They are pricey but completely worth it.

Silfra Fissure Snorkeling Tour - Into The Blue

This is a great way to settle the day. This place makes its own sour dough bread in the geothermal ovens they have. I would recommend getting a soup with this bread it is so good!! 

Start heading to the geyser around 9 in the morning. This a really fast fun sight. It should take less than 30 minutes to erupt. 

The falls will take you about and hour to complete. 

This tour was so fun!! You hike around on the glaciers and walk through and ice cave. Great company and they provide all the equipment. We booked our tour at 9:00 am. It will take approximately 4 hours.

This was one of our favorite tours!! This is a must. Make sure you dress warm. You will see seals

Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon Boat Tours in Iceland | icelagoon.is

This is right next to the zodiac tour so make sure to go walk the beach after! It won’t take long. 

Start your exploring around 10! This is a really cool plot of land that also holds an old Viking movie set! They have roaming horses and you can sometimes see puffins!

This thermal pool is free! Make sure you bring your own towels. 

Hike the waterfall starting at 10 am. It should only take around 30 min but the view is spectacular. 

Geothermal lake hike. As long as the road is open it is also another 30 min walk. 

Looks like Mars! These are funeral fields and it is a drastic difference from everything else you’ve been seeing. Be warned it smells like eggs.

Spend the day exploring this super small clean city. They have amazing eats and shops! 

Spend the day exploring their biggest city. Make reservations at some of their Michelin star resteraunts and you won’t be disappointed. You can’t go wrong with food here though if you aren’t wanting to spend too much money. The shopping here is fun as well! The town is super clean and a joy just to walk through. 

Campsite: There are a ton of camping grounds around Reykjavik that you can stay in tonight and tomorrow night! Just check online to make sure they are open because some of them shut down during certain times of the year!

I would recommend going to Iceland anytime between September-November. You will get dark nights which are necessary to see the northern lights but you have enough daylight to do the activities!
