Aruba

i've been to Aruba twice now. Once at a luxury resort on Eagle beach and once at a middle class resort on Palm beach. I will say I absolutely loved Bucuti and Tara but being on the main tourist strip has it's perks. I loved being able to walk to dinner and the evenings are more lively.  You don't need a car if you stay on the strip and book a couple day trips but you can also do a car if you wanted. Aruba is safe and truly one happy island. I will say the shopping area near the port is a bit dirtier where the cruise ships come in.

Hotels

Courtyard by Marriott Aruba Resort

I really enjoyed Courtyard by Marriott. This hotel was not all inclusive but as we don't drink it was worth saving a bit of money to book here. It's not directly on the beach but offers a quick shuttle ride or quick walk over to the beach. The hotel is updated, clean and staff is mostly friendly. Great food and drinks. My cousin and I shared breakfast every morning as we found it was too much for one person

Luxury hotel option:

Bucuti & Tara Beach Resort
@angelica3
This hotel is amazing. Eagle beach is the absolute best. We were upgraded upon arrival. The staff is very friendly. It is not all inclusive and this is your option if you're looking for luxury. It's not close to the main strip like the Riu and Courtyard so you need to keep this in mind if you want to explore the island. We rented a car for 3 days when we stayed here.

All inclusive hotel option:

Hotel Riu Palace Antillas
@angelica3
The Riu has an adult side and family side so make sure you book the appropriate one for your stay. The food here is hit and miss but this is a good option for all inclusive and price.
