The best time to apply for an Indonesian e-visa
As someone who has gone through the process recently, here are some tips when you apply for the e-visa (also known as electronic visa on arrival, type B1) :
1. Apply no more than 3 months before your travel date! This information is not published on the official website. The e-visa validity will be approximately the next 90 days after the e-visa is approved.
2. Use the official government website (https://molina.imigrasi.go.id/). It is the most straightforward to the e-visa approved instantly. This confirmation PDF will be sent to your email.
3. The cost of the 30-day visa is 500,000 IDR (roughly 30 USD) that is payable via any Visa, Mastercard and JCB credit/debit cards. Avoid agents or websites charging more fees than the government website.
4. Have your return flights booked and be ready to upload this flight confirmation.
