Sydney Harbour
@paulanicholls
Also known as Port Jackson. If you want you can explore the harbour on water by ferry, walking or even you can climb aboard a seaplane. We recommend starting on the North side and walking over the bridge fron the Milsons Point train station towards the city. 📍One of the beautiful walks is from Woolloomooloo to Barangaroo which connects the harbourside walk from Woolloomooloo to the Anzac Bridge. Keep on mind that Barangaroo is the newest waterfront precinct. Join one of the regular Aboriginal Cultural Tours even take a dip in the harbour at the swimming area that opened in 2023. 🌅

The Rocks
@paulanicholls
It was here where the first convicts from England first set up. They we're tasked with building the infrastructure. As writing by Comissioner Big in 1823 "The Rocks was a place filled with convicts, sailors, and other class working people. The narrow streets we're lined with rowdy taverns, gambling and crime." Today the small alleyways hold rich colonial history. Walk along cobbled streets and little laneways and discovery markets, museums, galleries, old pubs, coffee shops. Get lost in the Rocks Market every saturday and sunday artisans display their products from 10am to 5pm. Take a walk and enjoy activations to entertain you.

Nurses Walk
@paulanicholls
"Nurses Walk is located in The Rocks in central Sydney, just a short walk from Sydney Harbour behind the Museum of Contemporary Art. This area is the historial centre of the colonial area where the convicts were forced to set up. This tiny walkway functioned as a shortcut that provided access to the first hospital constructed in the colonial era during the early years of the convicts settlement." Today, the atmospheric street is better known for its restaurants, shops.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR
📍Sharing my favorites destinations &locations with you. The last week of the year 2023, I was at the Attari immigration office on the border between Pakistan & India, saying goodbye to my husband until we met again at the next destination in one week. Due to a situation with his visa he coudn't get into the country. I was very excited to return to India so I decided to move forward and continue the trip alone. But apparently the city's weather din't fit me well and I got sick. I din't have energy so my stay was limited to the same place. So, I learned that even at the last minute plans can take a forced turn. Since my time was limited, I would have liked to have a quick guide with nearby places to visit. That's why I created this profile to share guides & recomendations. Throughout the courses of my life, I ended up moving to Vietnam, Belarus, Australia and in between visiting different countries. Currently based in South América. Let me share those travel experiences so you can feel confident when you visit.
