Day 1

We flew to Amsterdam very early in the morning and landed at Schiphol airport at around 9am. From there, we took the Sprinter train. In half an hour we were at our hotel: XO Hotel Park West. We chose this hotel because it was not expensive and the room was very nice. We took a walk every morning to get to the city centre, but we are aware that it can be too many kms. In fact, the last few days we ended up with very tired legs, as each day we walked 4km just to get to the city.

We left our bags at the hotel (as it was too early to check in and leave them in the room) and went for a walk in the Western Park on our way to Amsterdam city centre. We loved this park because every day we saw dozens of dogs walking and playing happily with their owners.

Westerpark
@anitaenmalaga
Amsterdam's Westerpark is a large and vibrant urban park that combines nature, culture and entertainment in one place. Located in the west of the city, the park is a popular space for locals and visitors alike, offering green spaces, ponds and paths ideal for walking, jogging or relaxing. In addition to its natural beauty, Westerpark is home to bars, restaurants, galleries and cultural spaces in the Westergas, a former industrial complex transformed into a creative hub. It is a perfect destination to enjoy the outdoor life and Amsterdam's rich cultural scene.

We looked for somewhere to eat and ended up ordering a cone of chips and dip at Vlaams Friteshuis Vleminckx.

We ate our fries on the way to the metro station where we had arranged to meet our friends, who were arriving later than us because we had taken different flights.
