Switzerland: DIY Guide to The Alps

Switzerland: DIY Guide to The Alps

Hello, beautiful people ☺️ Thanks for stopping by my travel board 💞 You may find from this board few "chattering" paragraph (hoping it wouldn't bore you) and ofcourse the essential tips on how to get there! Why Switzerland? Personally, switzerland has been one of my bucket list to explore this country, the scenery are top-tier. Although, there are some debates that switzerland are overrated and there are some other countries with much cheaper travel option (I'm not against anything because every part of countries has their own distinctiveness) But, if there's heaven of nature then some part of switzerland could be in it (Subhanallah). For travellers, especially ladies. It is 99 percent safe to travel here, I've met with some other solo travellers ladies there, and they enjoyed their experience without having to worry about pickpockets or being followed by strangers, still you need to be precautious in anywhere you go. In fact, transportation are mostly reliable and on-time. Taxes are wisely spent on most of their infrastructures which explains the well-developed transportation. I could easily get to my destination by bus, trains, trams, and cruise! I'm pretty sure, I am not letting my pennies wasted and ride all the transportation and achieve my 10km walk on checked, it's a normal thing here to walk if you're on public transport and let yourself explore the cities and small towns. Try to ride them all for better experiences. Switzerland has their own currencies and call Swiss franc (CHF). Hmm let me remind you, we need to do something with our Malaysian currencies. 1 CHF = 5.21 MYR. That my friend, is what happened when our currencies are weakening and everything are expensive plus global inflation when convert. *long sigh* Best option is to utilize wise card since every stores apply cashless concept so it's much easier to do the bargains plus conversion rate are reasonable. But I would still recommend carrying some cash (just in case, and you' ll never know). Alright, pausing my chattering here and letting you scroll down my board for some tips. Happy travels ✈️ Travel tips included in this board:- - Weather forecast - Activities & Itineraries - How to read train map in Switzerland (first timer) - What weather best to visit?

How do I read train map without getting lost?

Disclaimer: High chances you will get lost if you're travelling alone or first timer and that's totally okay, take your time and you'll eventually figure out.

The train map are readible by platform number, train number and name of last station.

Let say, your destination is to ride train to bern from zurich central (HB) - advisable to use google map

For instances: Look for platform 31, end station is Bern, train number is IC8 and depart time.

When is the best time to visit Switzerland?

Depends on which season you would like to experience,

Spring🌷: (March - May) Temperature slightly rise, flowers and trees are about to bloom or turn green.

Summer🌞: (June - August) Warm and humid season.
