A lovely small town famous for the clay in the area, you can find the kilns just outside of town.
Clay pots for cooking but also the bricks to build with and roof tiles which you see everywhere.
It is also located in the Chianti wine region. Look for the Peposo, a beef stew cooked in wine ( now sometimes also tomato) with lots of pepper. It was supposedly made for the workers at the Duomo in Florence, a slow cooked dish, made in the clay pots near the heat of the kilns.

One of my favorite little villages any day of the week. Lovely shops and wine bars as well. Look for Duccio and his herbs in front of the Squarcialupi hotel.
