Hey All, Welcome to my travel blog! In this post, I'll be sharing my experience driving up Highway 191 to Moab, Utah. I captured bonus footage of this scenic drive back in August, and I can't wait to share it with you.
As we make our way up the highway, we pass by stunning formations like Monument Valley and red rocks that truckers seem to love. We even stop by the Hole in the Rock Rest Area, where we find greenery amidst the desert landscape.
Eventually, we arrive in the bustling town of Moab, which is a popular tourist destination thanks to its proximity to two national parks - Arches and Canyonlands. The town is filled with RVs, hotels, grocery stores, and even the world's largest outdoor food court.
After stocking up on supplies, we head to our reserved spot at the KOA campground. It's a busy time of year, but we manage to find a spot. As we settle in, we track the weather and prepare for a storm front moving through.
The next day, we embark on a picturesque drive up Highway 128, which takes us along the Colorado River and through Castle Rock before eventually leading us to Interstate 70. The views are breathtaking, with stunning mountains and canyons as far as the eye can see.
Moab and its surrounding areas are truly blessed with natural beauty and rich history, including Native American culture. It's a place that offers everything from national parks to cool canyons and small town charm.
