The parades take place over 3 days but the festivities last almost a month. If you are in Colombia in February, Don't miss it !

It is a folk parade that pays homage to all the surrounding cultures and villages through traditional costumes and dances.

The party also takes place in the streets, you can dance in front of someone's porch or in a dedicated street event called "Baile en la Calle" but be careful with your belongings ! To go out at night the food court Caiman del Rio is amazing as you get to dance on a live local band with locals and eat whatever you like in the font of the river.

I suggest you book your flights and hotel super early as the city receive a few tourists but also a lot of Colombians. Fell free to bring colorful clothes, flowers, strass and make up. Everything is about festivities and fun !
