WHERE TO START

You can start by grabbing dinner at many of the local restaurants. There is a range for every pocket and style.

If you are more in the fancy side I would recommend EL BOTÁNICO:

It is located in the upper street with the other really fancy restaurants. I like this one in particular because it is open and the bar has incredible signature drinks. It has a bistro New Yorker vibe with floor-to-ceiling hanging plants and vegetation, sky-high ceilings, warm wood paneling, and details meant to transport guests to a mid-19th century plant laboratory.

My faves  are:

* Langostino Katsura (Lobster) (17 USD)

* Key Lime Pie (4 USD)

A cheaper but original option is EL ALTAR,

A  Mexican taqueria  with a lot of personality, just down the road. If you want to hang out and fill your bellies up with some greasy food to avoid a nasty hang over the next day, this is definitely the place to start at. It has a Mexican street style and it is delicious and cheap. It also is walking distance to the best party spots. 

My faves: 

* Taco Camarón(Shrimp tacos) 2USD.

* Amarre (Frappe margarita believed to be a love conjure) 7 USD

* Buñuelo (traditional Colombian pastrie, you just gotta try it) 3USD

WHERE TO PARTY

Provenza is full of discos, bars and clubs. They vary in the music and vibe but I would recommend the peatonal street. It has the most visited places all close by so you can easily club jump from one to another. Have in mind that many of them have cover so you have to pay to enter around 10USD or less. But the sooner you get there the lower the entry price. There are many but for a secured good night out I recommend these two: 

LA HOUSE 

It is the perfect photo spot for instagram, with 4 different colorful floors decorated with neon signs to take pictures by.  Each floor has a distinct music style. It also offers non alcoholic beverages and hookah with an average price of 10USD per drink. Open every day from 4 pm to 4 am.

CROMATIC 

A modern retro vibe upstairs where you can have a few cocktails and a bunker downstairs with the best DJ nights and with the occasional apparition from Maluma, I would say definitely end the night at CROMATIC. 

*It is only open from Thursday to Saturday and they have  a lot of events so check their social media.
