Gluten Free Cape Cod

There are so many options for fresh fish and seafood at Mac's - gluten free lobster rolls - but the best part is all fried food is gluten free. This includes fish & chips, clam strips, shrimp and more. There are GF crab cakes too! If steamed lobster is your thing you can get that. There are classics like clam chowder - also GF. And the kid's menu has gf chicken tenders and fish bites (we went twice so we tried both!) I would say the majority of the menu is GF. Because guess what? The owner Mac has Celiac! It is amazing to see the people flowing in here, not just with celiac, and they don't care that the fried food is Gluten Free, it is just delicious! They have several different locations throughout Cape Cod, some are full-service service is down restaurants and this one that we went to is walk up counter service, and then they bring it to your table. Everything we we had - both fried and non fried - was fresh and delicious. We also tried poke bowls, a lobster tostada and spicy tuna lettuce wraps.

How often can you go into an ice cream place and order anything you want including a waffle cone? That's the amazing feeling you get watching your kid, wide-eyed, at Sweet Izzy a fully gluten free (and vegan/dairy free) ice cream spot in Cape Cod. The fact that you have a choice of soft serve and about 10 hard ice cream flavors, plus toppings, and even a milkshake, the choices were endless. And the flavors were amazing – cookie dough, fudge, brownie, salted caramel and more. This is truly a special place! A must stop! Absolutely delicious and perfect on a hot day!

They keep a separate allergy freezer with about 8 flavors. Most of them were gf except 2. But all of the flavors in the special freezer are kept with the lids on and they will clean their hands and use a fresh scoop. We got chocolate chip. They have a long line but it moves fast. A fun, cute, old-fashioned ice cream spot!

Most of the menu at is gluten free. Everything that goes in the fryers is GF. They said the only things not GF on the menu are pasta and regular sandwich buns (but they also offer GF buns). Huge selection of GF options. Even a flourless chocolate cake for dessert - which we didn't try since we were headed out for ice cream.

What a treat to find a restaurant with a dedicated gluten free waffle iron! I mean look at that waffle! The menu at Good Friends Cafe in Cape Cod is amazing and we found out that the owner has Celiac. The entire omelette section of the menu is gf, and there is also gf toast offered as well. They can also make gf breakfast sandwiches. So nice to be able to go out for a delicious breakfast to a place that gets gluten free! Definitely make a point to stop and eat here if you are in Cape Cod!

They have 2 types of gf crust - cauliflower or rice. Use all separate ingredients, trays, pizza cutters, separate prep area etc. It is same oven.
