Visiting Takeda Castle Ruins in Hyogo Prefecture
Kansai & Beyond 💻
Available for hire
🏯 Japan's Machu Picchu, or "the castle in the sky" is located just north of the big cities of Kobe city and Himeji city in Hyogo Prefecture. A great detour to explore the countrysides of Kansai!
This trip may need some time and some advance planning, so let me be your guide (with tons of tips & advice) through this process!

Details
Takeda Castle is located in Asago city, tucked in between the mountains of Hyogo Prefecture. It was originally built on the top of Mt. Koshiro. Though what's left now is only the stone walls, I still highly recommend anyone and everyone who has the time on their itinerary to fit this into their schedule.
Especially if you're looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of the big cities along the Tokaido route.
Takeda Castle is especially popular in the autumn and early winter months (September - November), as the chances to see the "sea of clouds" from the ruins increases during these months.

Hello! 👋 I'm Jenny and I lived in Osaka, Japan (the Kansai area) for 10 years. I've traveled to all 47 prefectures in Japan since 2019, and I've got plenty of tips & tricks on my blog website http://kansaibeyond.com on how to travel.
I would love to share my travels of the Kansai area, Japan and beyond with all of you.
My travel style: I'm a solo female traveller with experience driving around Japan, but can also give you tons of tips of using public transport. My friends and my partner tags along on my travels plans too! I love hot springs ♨️, and travelling to off the beaten path areas in Japan with a car.
Important things when travelling in Japan for me:
Food 🍝, cafes 🍵, castles 🏯, temples ⛩️, hot springs ♨️ and nice brisk hikes wherever possible. A bonus if we catch some 🌸cherry blossoms and 🍁 fall colours too!
Also a seasoned Pokemon manhole hunter, anime enthusiast and concert goer so ask me about those too!
