A quick 3 day stop guide to what I got up to in the city

I stayed with a friend who lives in Manchester's Northern Quarter so sadly I don't have any personal recommendations on where to stay, but I found the city to be easily walkable.

I spent 3 hours alone wandering around from Canal Street > St Peter's Square > John Rylands Research Institute and Library > Castlefield Bowl > Deansgate

Best mocktail I've ever had!

Manchester United Museum & Stadium Tour

Even if you're not a Man U or footy fan (I'm neither!!), spending part of the day on a tour is a great way to understand the history of this club and it's significance within the city! It turned out much better than I imagined and I'm really glad I went on a tour - learnt a lot too You get to explore the museum beforehand which includes the history and trophy room; you have plenty of opportunities to see all over the stadium grounds and take photos; see the footballers changing room; the tunnels; and press room.

Great spot for a quick bite to eat. I came across the market stands in the area (Thursday) which had amazing local cheeses and fresh cakes which I had to buy.

Beautiful architect from the outside and exhibitions that I got lost in for hours: - Generations: Portraits of Holocaust Survivors - 60-degree cinematic Big Picture Show - I also had a chat with volunteer Ray who talked about Tom Boardman, a Far East prisoner of war which is an emotional story

Food hall with beautiful architecture and the only remaining fully intact building from the former Smithfield market. Here you can find a range of cuisines and drinks to suit your taste buds
