Foodies Guide to Anguilla: Best Places to Eat on the Island
Dining out is THE best thing to do in Anguilla. From sophisticated, high-end restaurants to beach shacks to food trucks, here are some of my favourite places to eat in Anguilla.
-
1. Blanchard’s Beach and Fine Dining
Relaxed Daytime or Romantic Dining.
For romantic dining, Blanchard’s Restaurant (located next to its beach shack) earns top marks for both its upscale beach house ambiance and memorable cuisine.
2. Straw Hat Restaurant
Dreamy Sunset Views and Caribbean Cuisine.
Straw Hat Restaurant, open from November to April for all-day dining, offers an unparalleled Caribbean outdoor experience in Anguilla. Famed for its stunning sunsets and exquisite food, it's a must-visit for dinner reservations, especially to try the Caribbean bouillabaisse.
3. Jacala
French Caribbean Fusion Cuisine.
At lunchtime, securing a table near the sand is easy without reservations, perfect for enjoying top dishes like chilled cucumber soup with spicy tomato sorbet and bread reminiscent of a Parisian bakery.
Jacala, known for its romantic ambiance and upscale cuisine, is a must-visit in Anguilla, so it's wise to book in advance.
4. SALT at the Four Seasons
The Best Sunset You Will Ever Experience.
The Four Seasons Hotel and Resort Anguilla, nestled between Meads Bay and Barnes Bay, offers a seamless blend of sea and sky through its modern architecture. Designed by Kelly Wearstler, known for her work with celebrities, the resort's decor is a luxurious mix of earthy and glamorous elements. Even if not staying overnight, visitors can experience its exclusive atmosphere by dining at SALT, the resort's renowned restaurant.
5. Leon's at Malliouhana
Dive into relaxation mode.
This relaxed spot, located right on Mead’s Bay Beach near Malliouhana, offers the quintessential island experience. Guests can unwind in hammocks, enjoy beach games, and groove to live reggae music.
6. Pimms
Fine Tropical Dining Under The Stars.
7. Dolce Vita
Anguilla is world-famous for its five-star cuisine. Its restaurants are in the league of the Nobu's and Cipriani's of the world, except you enjoy your meal while sitting by the Caribbean Sea. But you don't have to pay hundreds of $ for outstanding dining by the shore. One restaurant that gets rave reviews over and over is Dolce Vita. "Excellent Italian, comfortable dining, affordable price, and right on the beach at Sandy Ground."
8. For More
The home for unique & authentic travel
