Big Sur Essentials
When to Go
Big Sur is gorgeous any time of year. I prefer to go in the late spring through early fall when it’s warmer and less foggy. That said, perfect weather is never guaranteed here!
Ideal Trip Duration
Big Sur is a perfect weekend destination. I recommend staying 1-2 nights. It can be done as a day trip, but it’s really worth staying overnight.
Service & Wifi
Cell service is spotty at best in Big Sur, so be sure to save your favorite recs offline before you go! Big Sur library is one of the best spots for free public wifi. Park outside and use it from your car.
