Discover the Magic of the Amalfi Coast

Oh, the Amalfi Coast! What a dream destination. Seriously, it’s one of those places that just stays with you. If you’re looking for a mix of adventure, relaxation, and that unmistakable Italian vibe, this is the place to be. I’ve been there, and I can tell you, these tips are ones you don’t want to miss – you won’t regret it!

Must-Do’s and Recommendations

Explore Positano and Ravello

Positano is like stepping into a postcard. Wander through the narrow streets, pick up some cute souvenirs at the boutiques, and make sure to have a meal at Ristorante La Tagliata. The view there is so stunning, you won’t want to leave. And then there’s Ravello… When you’re there, you have to visit Villa Cimbrone and Villa Rufolo. The gardens are gorgeous, and the views? You’ll feel like you’re on top of the world.

A Unique Experience in Amalfi

This is such a hidden gem: the singing barber of Amalfi! Yes, you read that right. He cuts your hair while singing traditional Neapolitan songs. It’s one of those things you just have to experience – super fun and unforgettable!

Taste Wine and Limoncello

If you’re into wine, the Marisa Cuomo winery in Furore is a must-visit. They make amazing wines on terraces high above the cliffs. After the tour, you can also enjoy a delicious lunch right there among the vineyards. And if you love limoncello (who doesn’t?), head to Agriturismo Villa Maria in Minori. You can lunch among the lemon trees and learn how they make that wonderful drink.

Sail to Capri

You simply can’t visit the Amalfi Coast without spending a day in Capri. Rent a private boat (I recommend Lucibello in Positano – super reliable) and sail past the Faraglioni rocks, dip into the Blue Grotto, and enjoy lunch on the island. It’s the perfect mix of luxury and adventure.

Visit Local Markets and Hidden Gems

There’s nothing like spending a morning at the market in Amalfi or Minori. Fresh produce, local delicacies, and handmade ceramics – so much fun to browse. And if you want to escape the crowds for a bit, find one of those charming little towers along the coast. Like Il Pirata in Praiano – a terrace that literally hangs over the sea. Trust me, it’s a spot where you can truly relax and recharge.

Scenic Views

Villa Cimbrone (Ravello) –

This is a must-see. The terraces offer the most breathtaking views of the Amalfi Coast and the Gulf of Salerno. The Infinity Terrace is a place where you could spend hours.

Sentiero degli Dei –

This path, the Path of the Gods, is perfect for a hike with stunning views. The panorama of the coastline and the Tyrrhenian Sea is simply gorgeous.

Festival Lover?

If you’re visiting in the fall, you must check out the Sagra della Castagna in Scala. It’s just across the ravine from Ravello and is all about hazelnuts, chestnuts, and local delicacies. It’s such an authentic experience – a real taste of local life. There are market stalls, traditional music, and plenty of delicious food. So cozy and festive!

Where You Should Stay

I know how important a great place to stay is, so here are my top picks:

Casa Angelina Lifestyle Hotel (Positano)

This boutique hotel is just perfect if you love modern and chic. The view over the sea is fantastic – you could just sit on your balcony and gaze at the horizon for hours.

NH Collection Grand Hotel Convento di Amalfi (Amalfi)

Once a monastery, now a stunning hotel with a breathtaking view. You really feel the history here, but with all the modern luxury you could want.

Belmond Hotel Caruso (Ravello)

Pure luxury. The infinity pool here is legendary – it feels like you’re floating above the coast.

Grand Hotel Excelsior Vittoria (Sorrento)

This hotel is pure class. The terrace overlooking the Bay of Naples is the perfect spot for a sunset drink.

Villa Cimbrone (Ravello)

For the romantics among us. The views here are unparalleled, and the atmosphere is just magical.

You can also mix and match hotels, like spending a few nights in Positano and then a few in Ravello. That way, you get to see the different sides of the coast.
